Rockies suffer historic collapse in ninth inning, marking a dark milestone in MLB history

The Colorado Rockies have recently set an unfortunate record in the MLB books after allowing five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. This marks the 29th game this season where they have trailed for at least part of the game, surpassing the previous record held by the 1910 St. Louis Browns. With a 7-22 record, it’s clear that the Rockies are struggling.

Tuesday’s game was particularly brutal as they had been leading 5-0 after a five-run rally in the first inning and a shutout performance by starting pitcher Ryan Feltner for eight innings.
