In Rockford, Illinois, Aetna Better Health recently hosted a summer bash & resource fair at the Booker Washington Center. The event attracted fifteen organizations, including Lifescape, University of Illinois Chicago and the Rockford Mass Transit District. Each organization provided valuable information to residents in attendance with the goal of raising awareness about the resources available to them.
The importance of community members being able to see the variety of services offered was highlighted by event officials. Families were able to access resources for their children and potentially discover new programs or opportunities to participate in. Aetna Better Health Illinois Outreach Coordinator Toni Thomas emphasized the significance of providing resources to families in need and helping them find ways to support their children.
