According to new data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the average rental price in Israel was NIS 4,682 in the first quarter of 2024. This represents a 7.2% increase compared to the same period last year and a 4.6% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
The largest cities saw varying rental price increases over the past year, with Herzliya leading the way at 7.1%, Kfar Saba following closely behind at 6.6%, and Petah Tikva, Jerusalem, and Ramat Gan also experiencing significant growth. On the other hand, prices rose by only 3.2% in Beit Shemesh and Beer Sheva, while Hadera, Holon and Bat Yam, and Bnei Brak saw increases of just 4.1%, 4.2%, and 4.4% respectively.
The most expensive rents were recorded in Tel Aviv (average of NIS 6,910), Herzliya (NIS 6,383), and Ramat Gan (NIS 5,412). In contrast, those seeking more affordable options can find them among smaller cities such as Beersheba (NIS NIS
