Rising Prices of Essential Items and Services in Mexico: Impact on Healthcare, Personal Care and Mother’s Day Gifts

The cost of living is on the rise in Mexico, as general inflation increased by 4.63 percent annually in the first 15 days of the month. This has led to a significant increase in prices for everyday items like pain relievers, medications, and personal care services.

Healthcare expenses are also rising, with 49 percent of spending going towards emergency medical care – significantly higher than the average in other OECD countries. In addition to healthcare costs, personal care services have also seen a spike in prices.

As Mother’s Day approaches on May 10th, Mexican families are celebrating this special occasion with pampering gifts such as soaps and creams. However, these gifts could be more expensive due to the rising prices of personal care products like haircuts, hair products, deodorants, lotions and perfumes.
