As the NBA draft approaches on June 26th and 27th, Yahoo Sports NBA draft analyst Krysten Peek highlights three players who are rapidly climbing up draft boards.
Miami freshman wing Keyshawn George is gaining attention with his impressive performance on the court. Despite averaging just 7.6 points off the bench during his time at Miami, George’s passing and shot creation abilities show promise as an NBA perimeter player. His draft range is now speculated to be anywhere from the mid-lottery to the late teens.
French wing Pacom Dottier rounds out the trio of players climbing up draft boards. At just 6 feet tall, Dottier is one of the youngest players in the draft and is considered a draft-and-stash player with high potential. Teams in the back half of the first round who are willing to be patient with his development are showing interest in acquiring him.
Providence point guard Devin Carter is also gaining attention with his impressive performance in the Big East this year. Standing at 6’2, Carter excelled as a two-way player and impressed scouts at the combine with a vertical jump of 42 inches. He has worked out for multiple teams in the lottery and could be a potential pick at number nine with the Memphis Grizzlies, where his father serves as an assistant coach.
