Rise and Fall: Way, Way Too Early 2024 NFL Draft Rankings Update After Trade Season

Stefon Diggs trade shakes up Matthew Berry’s early Top 50 Rankings

The NFL Combine has ended and free agency is coming to a close, but the focus on the upcoming NFL draft has already begun. In light of recent events in the league, I have updated my Way, Way Too Early 2024 Rankings to reflect the current landscape. These rankings take into account the current state of the NFL and are geared towards managed re-draft leagues. While they can still be useful for bestball formats, players with high single week upside like De’Von Achane may see a rise in those formats.

The recent trade of Stefon Diggs to Houston has had a significant impact on the WR ranks. Both Diggs and Nico Collins have dropped in the rankings due to increased target competition, but they still remain within the top-30 with Collins edging out. Tank Dell has seen the biggest decline, dropping from 33 to 49, while Joe Mixon has benefited from an improved offense and increased scoring opportunities. On the Bills’ side, Josh Allen remains QB1 but has dropped five spots in the rankings, while James Cook has moved up into the top-40.

These rankings will continue to evolve as teams make moves in free agency, draft new players, and adjust their offensive schemes. As the off-season progresses, I will make updates to this list and expand it to reflect the latest developments in the NFL.
