Argentina provides assistance to Brazil following floods in Rio Grande do Sul

The Brazilian government has announced that it is offering Argentina its full collaboration to help the victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. This includes a team of 20 men and dogs from the Federal Police, logistics experts from the White Helmets Commission, a plane for transportation, three helicopters for transfers and evacuations, a mobile team of health professionals, Navy tactical divers, engineering units with vessels, and two water purification plants.

The floods in Rio Grande do Sul have resulted in at least 85 deaths, 134 people missing, and 339 injured. More than 1.1 million people in 385 municipalities have been affected by the heavy rains, facing shortages of food, medicine, and basic services such as water and energy supply.
