Enhancing UAE’s Financial Presence in International Forums through Transformational Projects

In line with the We Are the Emirates 2031 vision and the UAE’s efforts to become a global hub for innovation during the next decade, the Ministry of Finance is implementing transformative projects that will propel the country forward and enhance its competitiveness. These initiatives aim to accelerate progress towards government goals and contribute positively to society and various sectors of the state.

Mohammed bin Hadi Al Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, highlighted the need for ambitious strategies to shape government work that meets future requirements. The Ministry is focused on developing a competitive economic environment that attracts foreign investments and strengthens national capabilities to position the UAE in international financial arenas.

One of these transformative projects is “Developing Local Debt Capital Market in Emirates,” which collaborates with Central Bank of Emirates. The initiative aims to issue local public debt instruments such as Islamic treasury bonds to build a yield curve in UAE dirham market. Another project, “Enhancing Presence of Emirati Leaders in International Financial Forums,” works towards strengthening Emirati competencies in leadership positions in international organizations, supporting the UAE’s participation in global economic partnerships.

In addition to these projects, the Ministry is working on several initiatives to improve financial markets and secure its place on an international stage. By adopting innovative approaches and methodologies, the Ministry aims to achieve qualitative transformations in project implementation, budget preparation, and resource management, propelling the country towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
