The Chicago Sports Network is set to become the new home for the White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks starting in October. The network has announced that it will provide programming across various platforms to reach a broad audience.
Although specific providers were not named, the network has agreements in place with cable, streaming, and over-the-air services. The Chicago Sports Network will broadcast from both the United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field, pending league approval.
The focus of the Chicago Sports Network is on serving fans through a variety of platforms and in multiple markets to maximize audience reach. President of the network, Jason Coyle, emphasized this point as he highlighted his experience in Chicago-based sports-media leadership roles for over 20 years. Coyle previously held the position of president at Stadium.
With an emphasis on what is best for the fans, the Chicago Sports Network plans to offer more than 300 games year-round along with pre- and post-game shows and multisport programming. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
