Revolutionizing Retail Insights: Field Agent Acquires Shelfgram to Enhance AI-enabled Platform

Field Agent expands capabilities with acquisition of Shelfgram technology firm

Toronto-based company Shelfgram has recently been acquired by Fayetteville-based Field Agent for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition was made possible through a partnership with Five Elms Capital and includes the transfer of employees and assets from Shelfgram to Field Agent in Toronto. The acquisition will allow brands to monitor activities both in stores and online using Shelfgram’s AI-enabled platform, which leverages the millions of photos collected by Field Agents.

This partnership will provide a new perspective on category insights for suppliers in the retail industry, according to CEO Rick West. By combining Field Agent’s crowdsourced photos with Shelfgram’s technology, brands will be able to better understand what is happening in stores, improving product visibility. This collaboration will help bridge the current limitations faced by the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, allowing for more effective market research and customer service.

Field Agent works with over 2 million connected shoppers globally to gather data on in-store prices, product availability, and display compliance. Shelfgram’s technology focuses on planogram and display capturing, providing additional insights for supplier brands. By integrating these two platforms, Field Agent and Shelfgram offer a comprehensive solution for retailers to execute promotions and displays that better serve their customers. This collaboration will enhance the competitive edge of retail companies in the market.
