Revolutionizing Playlist Creation: Spotify’s AI Playlist Feature Takes the Music Industry by Storm

AI-generated playlists are hitting Spotify

Spotify’s new beta tool, AI Playlist, is transforming the way users create playlists. The feature allows users to generate curated playlists based on text descriptions, making it easier than ever to find music that suits their mood or preferences. This feature is currently being rolled out to Spotify Premium subscribers in the UK and Australia on mobile devices. To access the AI playlist builder, Android and iOS users in these locations can go to the “Your Library” section and tap the “+” button at the top right corner of the page.

Once selected, users can type a command such as “music to read on a cold rainy day” to generate a playlist of 30 songs that match their specified mood. Additional prompts such as “more sad music” can be used to modify the results until the user is satisfied with their playlist. Once finished, users can save their playlist by tapping “create” in the top right corner. This new feature may be one of the factors behind Spotify’s planned price increases in the US, with Premium subscriptions currently starting at $5.99 per month for students and $10.99 for others.

Overall, this innovative feature provides a more personalized and tailored music experience for listeners around the world. Through artificial intelligence technology, Spotify continues to enhance its platform and offer unique features for its subscribers.
