CEO Daniel Kim was inspired to create AEV over 20 years ago after experiencing a near-death accident while working on a Land Rover Defender. He aimed to develop a hybrid vehicle that combined the agility of a motorbike with the stability of a car. The gyroscope technology used in AEV allows it to remain upright after falling and has a quick full charge time of just 5 minutes, allowing for an impressive travel distance of approximately 274 km.
Safety is paramount for AEV, with features such as airbags, seat belts, and tempered glass chambers ensuring the driver’s survival in case of an accident. Kim emphasizes on safety extends to the durability of the vehicle, stating that it can withstand impact without collapsing. Lit Motors plans to meet European standards to cater to growing demand from countries like Germany and UK. They aim to raise 5 million USD by September to further develop and manufacture AEV.
