Revolutionizing Messaging: WhatsApp Introduces AI-Generated Images with Beta Update

AI revolutionizes WhatsApp profile photos

WhatsApp is set to revolutionize the way users share images with their friends and contacts, by introducing a new feature that utilizes artificial intelligence. Currently being tested in the beta version for Android 2.24.11.17, this messaging app is providing a simpler way for users to create these images using AI technology.

The feature is currently only available to select testers who have access to Meta’s AI chatbot, which has already been introduced on WhatsApp since April in countries like India, powered by Llama, Meta’s AI. The update will make this chatbot accessible below the + icon for starting a new conversation for Android users, while iPhone users will find it in the search bar at the top of the interface.

To create an AI-generated image on WhatsApp, users can simply use the shortcut in the attachment box called “Image”, where they can tap on the Meta AI icon to open a chatbot dialog and write a prompt based on which the model will generate an image. Additionally, WhatsApp plans to offer users the ability to create and use AI-generated profile photos as well.

WhatsApp is not alone in incorporating AI technology into messaging apps – Microsoft recently released Copilot as a bot for Telegram users, allowing them to create poems, summarize articles and translate content with just a simple prompt.

As AI continues to evolve and become more integrated into our daily lives, it’s exciting to see how messaging apps are utilizing this technology to enhance user experience and provide new functionalities.

In conclusion, WhatsApp’s latest update brings artificial intelligence into its chat feed making it easier for users to generate images using prompts written through Meta’s AI chatbot. This feature is currently being tested in beta version for Android 2.24.11.17 but will soon be available for all users soon with other functionalities such as creating profile photos generated by AI also planned for future updates by Whatsapp developers team
