Revolutionizing Indian Workers’ Employment in Israel: Government Launches Partially Subsidized Charter Flights

Israeli Ministry of Internal Affairs arranges “air bridge” from India to transport 6,000 construction workers

India’s construction industry is booming, and many skilled workers are looking for opportunities to work in Israel. However, only about a thousand of the 8,000 selected workers were able to make it to Israel due to the high cost of air tickets. To address this issue, the government formed an inter-ministerial commission to investigate the reasons behind this situation.

The commission found that the high cost of airfare was the main hurdle for Indian workers seeking employment in Israel. The Population and Migration Authority responded by coordinating partially subsidized charter flights to bring 6,000 workers to Israel in April and May. This decision was made following the investigation into the challenges faced by Indian workers seeking employment in Israel.

The government’s initiative aimed to reduce the cost of air travel for Indian workers seeking employment in Israel. By providing partially subsidized charter flights, the authorities hoped to increase the number of workers who could take up opportunities in Israel’s construction industry. This move is expected to boost India’s economy and provide more job opportunities for its citizens.
