Revolutionizing Healthcare: Nanox Imaging Integrates AI Solutions into Second Opinions Online Medical Consultation Service

Nanox Introduces Artificial Intelligence Features to Second Opinions Platform

On June 5, 2024, Nano-X Imaging announced that its subsidiary Nanox AI Ltd. had launched an artificial intelligence (AI) functionality in the Second Opinions online medical consultation service. The Second Opinions platform, offered by USARAD Holdings INC, connects patients with radiologists and other subspecialty physicians for additional consultation on their medical diagnoses. Three of Nanox.AI’s FDA 510(k)-cleared AI solutions have been integrated into Second Opinions, enabling patients to receive second opinions from experts in various medical and surgical subspecialties including radiology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedic surgery.

The AI solutions integrated into Second Opinions are designed to promote early detection of chronic conditions on chest and abdominal CT scans. The AI Cardiac solution (HealthCCSng) detects coronary artery calcium, the AI Bone solution (HealthOST) assesses bone mineral density and highlights vertebral spine compression fractures, and the AI Liver solution (HealthFLD) measures liver density to indicate fatty liver disease. These AI-driven insights are reviewed and approved by Second Opinions physicians and included in reports for patients who submit eligible chest and abdominal CT scans.

Erez Meltzer, CEO of Nanox Imaging expressed excitement about bringing AI-powered early detection through the Second Opinions platform to patients seeking peace of mind regarding their health and diagnoses. The integration of Nanox.AI’s solutions into the Second Opinions service aims to empower healthcare providers with advanced AI tools that improve patient outcomes. Nano-X Imaging is committed to exploring opportunities to leverage AI technology for accessible early diagnosis and preventative management.
