Revolutionizing Fitness Goal Tracking: AI-Powered Web Application Developed by Mizzou CS Students

Mizzou Engineering Students Create Fitness Web App for Senior Capstone Project in Computer Science

A group of computer science students consisting of Allison Drainer, Forrest Pritt, Gavin Boley, Nina Rubanovich, and Bina Gallagher collaborated to develop a new fitness goal tracking web application. They all had different workout preferences, including rock climbing, strength training, cardio, and biking, and wanted to create an application that could accommodate various types of exercises targeting different muscle groups.

The team used artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to create a dynamic workout recommendation system based on user preferences and lifestyle choices. By leveraging the knowledge gained from their computer science classes at Mizzou, including web development, design, algorithms, and database management, they were able to build a comprehensive web application that integrates front-end and back-end technologies.

The final application features an account creation page, login page, and a homepage with various tools for tracking progress, setting goals, entering workouts
