Revolutionizing Education: University of Michigan-Flint Unveils New Innovation and Technology Complex

Construction of New Technology Building at University of Michigan-Flint Begins

Recently, the University of Michigan-Flint held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of phase one of its new Innovation and Technology Complex. This complex is expected to be a significant addition to the university as it will encompass 14,000 square feet of state-of-the-art instructional laboratories.

Funding for this $10 million project will come from grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, and gifts from UM-Flint. These contributions will help ensure the success of the complex and provide students with cutting-edge resources for their education.

The ceremony highlighted the diverse academic degrees that will be supported by the complex. These degrees will include artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, human-centered design, electrical & computer engineering, and more. As a result, students at UM-Flint will have access to some of the most advanced educational resources available in these fields.
