Revolutionizing Device Tracking: Google’s ‘Find My Device’ Feature Rolls Out in Spain

Offline location tracking now available for Android’s ‘Find my device’ feature in Spain

Google has recently announced the launch of its ‘Find my device’ feature in Spain, which allows users to track their devices and accessories even if they are not connected. This service is designed for Android operating systems and helps users locate their linked devices remotely in case of theft or loss, as well as delete all the information on them.

A few weeks ago, Google introduced an offline device search service that will be available in Spain. To find objects using this service, Google will utilize the network of over one billion devices in the Android community to store recent device locations. These locations will be encrypted with the user’s PIN, pattern, or password settings, ensuring that only users can see them.

Google also mentioned that this feature will support third-party tracking accessories from brands like Chipolo and Pebblebeee, as long as they are compatible with ‘Find my device’. Users will receive a notification on their Android devices when the function is activated. For those who prefer not to include their devices in this network, they can disable it through the web. The choice made will apply to all devices linked to the Gmail account associated with the service.
