Revolutionary GPR300 Nodal System Sold to Undisclosed Company for $20 Million: A Game-Changer for Seismic Surveys in the North Sea

Recently, Viridien’s Sensing & Monitoring business line completed the sale and delivery of a GPR300 ocean-bottom nodal system for approximately $20 million. The technology will be utilized by an undisclosed company for an upcoming seismic survey project in the North Sea.

The Sercel GPR nodes incorporated into the system provide enhanced signal sensing capabilities, fidelity, and quiet performance that surpass traditional OBN equipment for subsurface imaging. Noteworthy is that CGG, the parent company of Viridien, recently rebranded and changed its corporate name to further align with its evolving business objectives and offerings.

The GPR300 system is capable of operating in shallow-water depths of up to 300 meters and has a lightweight design that allows for easier manual handling, deployment, and retrieval. It is a valuable tool for marine survey projects requiring precise data collection and analysis.

Viridien reports that the advanced features and capabilities of the GPR300 ocean-bottom nodal system make it a valuable asset for companies seeking reliable and high-quality data for their offshore operations. Overall, this cutting-edge technology is set to significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of seismic survey projects.
