Pottawatomie County Health Department to Temporarily Close Next Tuesday for Funeral of Westmoreland Resident

Ann Miller, a long-time resident of Westmoreland and a pillar in the Pottawatomie County community, tragically passed away during a tornado that struck the town on April 30. In honor of her memory and contributions to the community, the Pottawatomie County Health Department in Kansas will be closed next Tuesday.

The closure is an opportunity for Health Department staff to attend Miller’s funeral services and mourn the loss of their colleague and friend. According to a post on the Pottawatomie County, Kansas Facebook page, the closure is meant to pay respects to Miller and her impact on the community.

Miller was known as the welcoming face of the Health Department for 28 years, and her impact on the community is evident by the outpouring of support and condolences from residents and officials.
