Relocating Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store: Robert Wagner’s Big Leap Towards Global Candy Dominance

Robert Wagner, owner of the Wagner family’s candy store near Jordan, just off Highway 169, has big plans for his business. For 45 years, the property has been in their possession and over time, the focus has shifted to candy sales. It is now known as “Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store.” However, with highway construction plans for an overpass near the current building, the store is set to be relocated across Highway 169 near Jordan Supper Club. This move is crucial for attracting impulse customers as the overpass will cut off highway access to the current store.

In a land swap agreement with Scott County, Wagner is set to acquire a spot for the new store while his old candy store site will be used for the new overpass. The current store is scheduled to close in 2026 and the new store is expected to open a year later, provided everything goes according to plan. Wagner expressed confidence in these agreements and shared that they aim to become not only Minnesota’s largest candy store but also the world’s largest candy store.

The goal of expanding and becoming a global leader in candy sales drives Wagner forward. The current store will re-open at its current location on May 1 for the season while plans are being made for relocation to the new location in the future. With this expansion and relocation comes growth opportunities and increased visibility for their beloved brand of candies.
