After finishing third in the 2014 World Cup, they struggled at international events before improving and winning all three of their group games in the 2020 Euros, only to be knocked out by the Czech Republic.

The Netherlands is grouped with France, Poland, and Austria in Group D for Euro 2024, with France having had the upper hand in the qualifying rounds.
The squad for Netherlands’ Euro 2024 campaign includes experienced players like Virgil Van Dijk and Nathan Ake, as well as promising talents like Jeremie Frimpong, who has impressed at Bayer Leverkusen this season. The provisional 30-man squad will need to be cut down to 26 players, including three goalkeepers, by the June 6 deadline.
With France dominating Group D in qualifying rounds and Poland being a strong contender for progressing from the group stage along with Netherlands and Austria, it will be crucial for Netherlands to perform well if they want to reach Quarter Finals once again after missing out on them since 2008.
