The men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has seen a significant increase in prize money, with the winners set to receive at least $2.45 million, the highest in the tournament’s history. This marks an increase of nearly $850,000 from the last T20 World Cup in 2022.
The overall prize money for the tournament has more than doubled, from $5.6 million to $11.25 million this year, benefiting all participating teams. The runners-up of the tournament will earn at least $1.28 million, an increase from $800,000 in 2022, while losing semi-finalists will receive $787,500 each, up from $400,000.
