The CCX All-Area Boys Basketball team for the northwest suburbs was recently announced, recognizing the top high school players in the area. This year’s team features 12 standout players and a record 23 honorable mention selections, with four Mr. Basketball Finalists included in the lineup.
The 2023-24 CCX Sports All-Area Boys Basketball Team includes notable players such as Jalen Wilson from Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Hanif Muhammed and Daniel Freitag from Breck, Jayden Moore and Anthony Smith from Hopkins, Henry Stang from Maple Grove, De’Mari Larkins from Osseo, Cash Chavis from Park Center, Isaiah Johnson-Arigu and Chace Watley from Totino-Grace, as well as Isaac Olmstead and Jackson McAndrew from Wayzata.
In addition to the main team, there are also honorable mentions such as Seth Newbern and Desmond Ware from Armstrong, Jayden Daisy and Miles Newton from Breck, Amory Peterson and Preston Thielke from Champlin Park, Chance Wicks and Joshua Sokeye from Heritage, JJ Semanko and Keegan Harney from Maple Grove, Datrell McCrimmon and Gresyn Rennie from Maranatha, Jaymeson Travis from Osseo, Jackson Fowlkes and Ari Gooch
