At 10:35 a.m., Midland police responded to a private property damage crash in the 6900 block of Eastman. Earlier at 1:14 p.m., they were called to West Indian at Jerome for a property damage crash.

In Ingersoll Township at 8:46 a.m., a deputy spoke with a 60-year-old man regarding fraudulent transactions on his business bank account statement. The man filed a claim with his bank and has been reimbursed for the fraudulent transactions.

Midland police were also called to investigate a delayed report of criminal sexual assault in Jerome Township at 5:16 p.m. A suspect was found and taken into custody, but details of the incident have not been released yet.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate a complaint of malicious destruction of property in Coleman, where they spoke with a suspect who caused $100 worth of damage to their property. The matter is still under investigation, but it appears that charges will be filed soon.

At MyMichigan Medical Center, deputies received an unexpected call when they learned that an individual had been found in possession of controlled substances while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in an accident earlier in the day.

The matter was forwarded to the prosecutor, who will decide whether any charges should be filed against the individual responsible for possessing these drugs.
