Mark Pope travels to Keeneland for a business trip.

Kentucky head coach Mark Pope has returned to his alma mater and is facing the challenge of building a roster from scratch. With coaching staff hires still to be made, Pope has a lot on his plate as he prepares for the upcoming season.

The basketball program at Kentucky is eager to add more talent to its roster as they prepare for the upcoming season. Amari Williams, a Drexel transfer, is currently visiting the school for an official visit. If Williams commits, he would be the third scholarship player on the Kentucky basketball roster, joining Collin Chandler and Travis Perry.

Pope recently took Williams to Keeneland for the spring meet, where he did an interview with TVG. Pope expressed his excitement about being back at Kentucky and getting to work on building a competitive team. The visit to Keeneland was just one of many recruiting efforts that Kentucky is putting in place as it looks to rebuild its roster from scratch.
