Real-World Tokenized Assets: McKinsey Predicts $2 Trillion by 2030, but What About the Other Reports?

McKinsey & Company Forecasts Real-World-Asset Tokenization Market Cap to Reach $2 Trillion by 2030

A recent report by McKinsey & Company suggests that the market cap of real-world tokenized assets could reach $2 trillion by 2030. While this is just one estimate, it’s clear that the industry is growing rapidly. McKinsey analysts anticipate that adoption from mutual funds, lenders, issuers of bonds and exchange-traded notes (ETN), financial institutions, and alternative funds will drive future growth in the sector.

Despite their conservative predictions, other reports have offered higher estimates for the market value of the RWA sector. For example, crypto investment firm 21Shares estimated that it could be between $3.5 trillion and $10 trillion by 2030. The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) also projected a significant business opportunity, estimating that the tokenization of global illiquid assets could reach $16 trillion by the end of the decade.

It’s important to note that these estimates are based on projections and not actual data.
