Real Madrid, Cadilu Fishing, and Namibian Officials Unite for Educational Football Clinics in the Southern African Nation.

Butragueño introduces sports education clinics to be conducted in Namibia

Agnes Tjongarero, Minister of Sport, Youth, and National Service; Albertus Aochamub, Namibian Ambassador to France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Morocco; and José Luis Reyero, President of Cadilu Fishing recently met with Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations for Real Madrid at Real Madrid City. The purpose of the meeting was to present the program of educational football clinics that will be held in Namibia this year.

The clinics are scheduled to take place in the towns of Keetmanshoop and Gobabis from May 13th to 24th, and in Opuwo and Eenhana from October 7th to 18th. This program, now in its second year, is expected to involve more than 1,000 children and will be funded by Cadilu Fishing, with support from the Ministries of Sport and Education, as well as the Spanish Embassy in Namibia.

Two coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation will travel to Namibia to work with young people who wish to participate in the clinics. These clinics offer a unique experience for children to learn more about football and develop important values through the educational methodology of the Foundation. The support from the Ministry of Sports and the Spanish Embassy has helped to establish these clinics as an ongoing program, and there are plans to further support sport and education in the country with the launch of an Educational Football Program in September
