Raptors without Gradey Dick for first time since All-Star Break: Injury update and upcoming matchup against Pacers

Raptors Provide Update on Gradey Dick’s Health

The Toronto Raptors have announced that Gradey Dick will miss their upcoming game against the Pacers due to a right groin contusion. This injury occurred during the Raptors’ win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday in the fourth quarter. Raptors coach Darko Rajaković has stated that Dick is considered “day-to-day.”

This will be the first game that Dick has missed since the All-Star Break, ending his active streak as the player with the most consecutive games played for the team. Dick had not missed a game since mid-January. The Raptors have also ruled out Immanuel Quickley for Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, while the Pacers will be without Canadian guard Bennedict Mathurin due to a right shoulder injury.

The Pacers have already released their injury report for the matchup and will be without several key players, including Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis. Despite these injuries, Nic Claxton, Cam Johnson, and Jacob Gilyard are all probable to play. Toronto currently holds the sixth-worst record in the NBA this season, with a 45.8% chance of landing a top-six pick in the NBA Draft lottery next month.

The Raptors are facing the Pacers as +13.5 point underdogs, with an implied win probability of 15.4%. The total for the game is set at 239.5, making it an interesting matchup to watch as both teams struggle to maintain their playoff hopes.
