Rapper Childish Gambino Announces Major Tour, Releases ‘ATAVISTA’ Album, and Pushes Boundaries in Entertainment

Childish Gambino to Bring New World Tour to New Orleans in September, reveals Keith Spera

Rapper Childish Gambino, also known as actor Donald Glover’s alter ego, has announced a major tour called the New World Tour. The tour will stop in New Orleans on Sept. 7 at the Smoothie King Center, with Willow Smith, known as Willow, set to open for the show. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on May 17 through AXS.com, the ticket provider for AEG Presents, the tour’s promoter.

In addition to the tour announcement, Gambino released “ATAVISTA,” which is said to be the completed version of his 2020 album “3.15.20.” The album includes two new tracks, the title song and “Human Sacrifice.” A music video for the song “Little Foot Big Foot” was also released on the same day. This marks a significant comeback for the artist who has previously declared and retracted his own retirement plans.

Gamino/Glover’s career began as a writer on Tina Fey’s “30 Rock” before moving on to starring roles in “Community” and creating the critically acclaimed “Atlanta” series. He has also been involved in various other projects, including the Amazon Prime series “Swarm,” and roles in major films like “The Lion King” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” His music career has also gained him a devoted following, particularly after the release of the politically charged single and video “This Is America” in 2018. Despite having to cancel a headline performance at the 2018 Voodoo Music Experience due to a foot injury, Gambino continues to push boundaries and excite fans with his creative endeavors. His latest announcement of the New World Tour and new album further solidify his status as a multi-talented and dynamic artist.
