U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) has recognized Details Flowers of Sac County as her Small Business of the Week. As Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, she plans to honor a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties throughout this Congress. Cheryl Gerry and the entire team at Details Flowers were thanked for their dedication to spreading joy and creating beautiful floral arrangements that make lasting memories for the Sac City community.
Founded in 2000, Details Flowers started with just two full-time employees and a delivery driver to provide in-home floral design, wedding services, and home decor to the Sac County area. Over the last 24 years, they have grown to include more part-time employees who share Cheryl’s passion for flowers and have undergone an extensive renovation before moving to the upper floor of their original location on Main Street.
Their hard work has not gone unnoticed as they have received numerous accolades from their community. In 2010 and 2023, Details Flowers were selected as the Business of the Year by the Sac City Chamber, while they also won the Business of the Month Award in 2023.
Cheryl and her team continue to give back to their community by visiting nursing and assisted living homes on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to give flowers to residents.
