Connor Barron, a midfielder with a proven track record in the Scottish Premiership, has signed a four-year contract with Rangers after becoming a free agent. At just 21 years old, Barron started his career as a youth player at Pittodrie and has made a total of 105 club appearances, including loan spells at Brechin City and Kelty Hearts.
One of his four career goals was scored against Rangers in a match in 2022, which adds an extra level of excitement to his return to the club. Barron is not only an accomplished footballer but also a Scotland Under-21 international, making him the latest addition to Rangers this summer.
Joining left-back Jefte and central defender Clinton Nsiala, Barron is eager to contribute to Philippe Clement’s team in the middle of the park. Clement praised Barron’s talent, mentality, and experience in the Scottish Premiership and Europe, welcoming him back to Rangers and expressing his confidence in the young player’s abilities to make a positive impact on the team. With his exceptional skills and determination, Barron is set to be an asset for Rangers as they strive for success in the coming seasons.
