Rangers’ Copland Stand project delayed: Will matches have to be played elsewhere?

Rangers Look for Backup Plan as Material Delays Affect Ibrox Stadium

The recent delay in a materials shipment from Asia has affected the progress of the Copland Stand at Ibrox Stadium, and it is unclear whether matches will have to be played elsewhere. Rangers is currently working with the SPFL and UEFA to review planned contingency arrangements, and a further update will be provided to supporters in the future. The club is doing everything they can to ensure that the project is completed in a timely manner, including their upcoming friendly match against Manchester United on 20 July.

Rangers’ opening league fixture is likely to be away from home on either 3 or 4 August, followed by a home game the next weekend. In addition, the team may have one or two Champions League qualifying home legs in August. Despite this setback, Rangers remains determined to complete the Copland Stand project as soon as possible.

The club stated that they are disappointed by this news but are working diligently to find solutions. They are constantly looking for ways to ensure that their supporters have an enjoyable experience at Ibrox Stadium and are eagerly anticipating their next match.
