Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram have advanced to the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles at the French Open. The pair have previously reached the quarter-finals three times, but have never gone further in Paris. In their most recent match, Salisbury and Ram defeated French duo Lucas Pouille and Gregoire Barrera with a comfortable 6-3 6-3 victory.
Up next for Salisbury and Ram are the Italian team of Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli in the quarter-finals. This will be another chance for the duo to progress further in the tournament and possibly reach the semi-finals.
Salisbury will also be competing in the mixed doubles later on Monday, alongside Heather Watson. They will be facing compatriot Neal Skupski and his American partner Desirae Krawczyk for a spot in the mixed doubles quarter-finals. Salisbury has had success in mixed doubles in the past, winning the French and US Open titles in 2021 with Krawczyk. He has also won four men’s major doubles titles with Ram, making them a formidable duo in both formats of the game.
