Rainstorm Forces HHSAA to Postpone Softball Semifinals; Quarterfinals Still on Hold

Softball semifinals postponed to Friday by HHSAA because of rain

The persistent rainstorm has forced the HHSAA to postpone the softball semifinals scheduled for Thursday at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium in the University of Hawaii. The decision has affected four games, two each in Division I and Division II. These games have now been rescheduled to take place on Friday at times that are yet to be determined.

The HHSAA still needs to make up two quarterfinal games that were postponed due to heavy rain the previous night. One of these games, the Division I matchup between Mililani and Kalani, is set to take place at Campbell High, while the other, the last Division II quarterfinal between Kapaa and Kohala, is set to happen at Moanalua, weather permitting.

In the completed Division I quarterfinals that took place on Wednesday, Campbell defeated Kealakehe and Kamehameha beat Leilehua. Kamehameha will now face Baldwin in one of the semifinals, while Campbell awaits the winner of the Mililani-Kalani game in the other.

In Division II, Waimea and Pac-Five have secured spots in one semifinal, with Aiea waiting for the winner of the Kapaa-Kohala matchup in the other.
