Rainbow-Themed Small Businesses: OKC Merchants Celebrate Pride Month with Colorful Offerings

During Pride Month, LGBTQ+ lawmakers across the country are actively working towards a more equal future for all. From Delaware to California, they are fighting for equality in various ways.

In Oklahoma City, small businesses are offering a variety of Pride merchandise for community members to show their support during Pride events. One such business is Common Dear, a queer-owned shop located at 3 NW 9th Street that provides a range of Pride accessories, apparel, home goods, paper goods and more. The owners also run Johnny and June, a gift shop at 12 NW 9th Street.

DNA Galleries in the Plaza District at 1709 NW 16th St. features art from queer artists in Oklahoma, along with LGBTQ+-related enamel pins and stickers. Folk.Life, located at 1745 D NW 16th St., offers handmade clothing, gifts and Pride-related goods like rainbow beaded jewelry and festive ornaments.

At Craig’s Emporium, located at 1209 NW 23rd St., customers can find a wide selection of Pride flags, LGBTQ+-themed coffee mugs, apparel and books among other things. For literary enthusiasts, The Floating Bookshop at 617 W Sheridan Ave downtown offers LGBTQ+ fiction and nonfiction literary works during Pride Month.
