Raiders’ QB Draft Considerations: A Look at Bo Nix and Michael Penix Visits

Raiders hosting visit with Bo Nix on Friday

The Raiders are considering drafting a quarterback early and have scheduled a visit with Bo Nix, as reported by Albert Breer of SI.com. Nix, who previously played for Auburn and Oregon, brings a wealth of experience to the NFL, having completed over 77 percent of his passes for the Ducks last year and setting school records in passing touchdowns and passing yards.

Despite signing Gardner Minshew as a free agent and having Aidan O’Connell on the roster, the Raiders are still open to selecting another quarterback in the draft. Speculation continues to swirl around their quarterback situation, indicating that they may be looking to add more depth at the position.

Former Washington quarterback Michael Penix visited the team earlier in the week. The Raiders have been actively seeking a new signal-caller after releasing Derek Carr during the offseason. They have also shown interest in other top quarterbacks such as Baker Mayfield and Justin Herbert.
