Racing at Martinsville Speedway: Preparing for the Xfinity Series with Practice and Qualifying on Saturday, April 6

On Saturday, April 6, NASCAR Cup teams will be practicing and qualifying at Martinsville Speedway in preparation for the upcoming Xfinity Series race. This seventh race of the season has already seen two victories each from Chandler Smith and Austin Hill. John Hunter Nemechek and Kyle Larson have also claimed wins in the other two Xfinity races this year.

The weather forecast for Saturday is mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of 58 degrees. The start of the Xfinity race will see temperatures around 49 degrees, with no chance of rain. The schedule for track activity on Saturday is as follows (all times Eastern):

* Garage open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Cup Series.

* Cup practice will take place from 4:35 to 5:20 p.m., followed by Cup qualifying from 5:20 to 6:30 p.m., both broadcasted on FS2, Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

* The Xfinity race, consisting of 250 laps and covering 131.5 miles, will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be broadcasted on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
