Race Day Trials and Tribulations: How Drivers Fared in the New Hampshire Cup Race

At the Cup race at New Hampshire, drivers faced various challenges that affected their performances. Some emerged victorious, while others struggled to keep up. Among the winners was Christopher Bell, who won the race just a day after winning the Xfinity race. His victory, combined with his previous win, made it easier for car owner Joe Gibbs to forgive him for revealing the identity of the driver expected to take over the No. 19 ride next year.

On the other hand, some drivers suffered significant setbacks during the race. Bubba Wallace was involved in a crash and finished 34th, falling out of a playoff spot. Justin Haley’s impressive fifth-place finish was ruined when his car was damaged by contact with another driver. Kyle Busch had an especially challenging day, being lapped early and involved in three accidents before ending with a 35th-place finish.

Despite these struggles, some drivers still managed to have notable performances. Chase Briscoe and Josh Berry finished second and third respectively.

Throughout the race, each driver faced unique circumstances that determined their final positions. For example, running on wet weather tires due to rain posed a significant challenge for all drivers. In addition, Hendrick Motorsports continued to struggle at New Hampshire, with their last win at the track dating back to 2012. None of their cars placed in the top 15, with Alex Bowman finishing last after an engine failure.

In conclusion, while there were clear winners and losers based on their performances at New Hampshire, each driver faced different challenges that determined their outcomes.
