PUMA and Lost Management Cities Re-Imagining the ’80s PUMA GV Special with a Modern Twist

The Puma X LMC GV Special: A Nostalgic Reimagining for the City

PUMA and Lost Management Cities have collaborated to give the iconic ’80s tennis silhouette of the PUMA GV Special a fresh new look. The Korean brand has infused the shoe with a mix of blue and cream tones, adding hand-finished detailing like raw fabric edges and zig-zag stitching on the upper. The collaboration features both PUMA and LMC logos on the tongue and heel, along with a special Lost Management Cities tab on the PUMA Formstrip. To complete the look, a gum sole provides a contrasting touch to the light tones of the upper.

The shoe was originally known as the PUMA California in the ’80s, which was known for its versatility both indoors and outdoors. It also had a distinctive inset midsole. Later, it was renamed to GV Special to pay tribute to Guillermo Vilas, an Argentinian Grand Slam winner who was a dominant force on the tennis court. PUMA and Lost Management Cities plan to release a full apparel collection later this year to complement their footwear collaboration.

The PUMA GV Special x Lost Management Cities will be available for purchase starting May 25, 2024 at selected retailers worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration between two iconic brands in the world of sportswear.
