Wild Thang wins title of World’s Ugliest Dog at Sonoma-Marin Fair in North Bay for 2024

Rome, a 14-year-old pug who won the People’s Choice award, was the runner-up in the 2024 World’s Ugliest Dog competition at the Sonoma Marin County Fair in Petaluma, California. The competition was fierce with eight competitors vying for the top prize.

After coming in second place three times before, Wild Thang, an 8-year-old Pekingese, finally took home the title of World’s Ugliest Dog this year. The victory was particularly sweet for Wild Thang and his owner, who have been competing in the contest since 2016.

In addition to the title of World’s Ugliest Dog, Wild Thang also received a trophy and a cash prize of $5,000 for his victory. The competition was held on June 21, 2024 and was covered by KGO-TV. Copyright © 2024 KGO-TV. All Rights Reserved.
