In recent news, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have issued a warning to the public regarding the consumption of Diamond Shruumz-brand Microdosing Chocolate Bars, Infused Cones, and Micro Dose and Macro Dose gummies. The agencies advise against consuming these products due to various health effects reported, such as seizures, decreased consciousness, respiratory failure, agitation, abnormal heart rates, hyper/hypotension, nausea and vomiting.
The FDA recommends individuals experiencing any of these symptoms to contact their healthcare provider or the Poison Help Line for assistance. Despite discussions with the company regarding a potential voluntary recall, no recall has been initiated by the company at this time. While cases have been reported in 20 states, there have been no documented cases in Michigan thus far. Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, Chief Medical Executive for the State of Michigan emphasized that consuming these edibles can lead to serious health risks and urged individuals to discard them immediately.
