This week on Beacon Hill, state lawmakers worked tirelessly to address priority bills before the end of the session. On Monday, Governor Healey signed an executive order protecting access to emergency abortions in Massachusetts.

Late Thursday night, the Senate passed a comprehensive housing bond bill which includes an amendment to establish a relief fund for homeowners dealing with expensive crumbling foundations. This bill will now move to the conference committee to resolve differences between the House and Senate drafts.

On Monday, Uber and Lyft reached a settlement with Attorney General Andrea Campbell, agreeing to provide their drivers with higher wages and better benefits.

The House of Representatives passed a comprehensive economic bond bill that aligns with Governor Healey’s plan to revive the Commonwealth on Wednesday evening. This bill includes significant investments in life sciences initiatives, live theater tax credits, investments in climate technology, and more.
