President Zelensky Slams Brazil and China at Peace Summit for Lack of Commitment to Nuclear Safety and Maritime Transit Security

During a press conference at the Peace Summit in Switzerland, President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the governments of Brazil and China. He noted that Brazil only sent ambassador Claudia Fonseca to the event and did not sign the joint declaration calling for the safety of nuclear and maritime transit. China did not send representatives because Russia was not invited. Zelensky expressed his hope that both Brazil and China would adopt the principles that united the majority of nations present at the summit.

India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, which have strong trade relations with Russia, also abstained from signing the joint declaration. However, over 80 nations did accept the statement. Zelensky considered the summit a success as it highlighted the importance of independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.

In May, Brazil and China reached an agreement for a political and peaceful solution to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. This agreement supports an international peace conference with equal participation from all parties, as well as the exchange of prisoners of war and opposition to weapons of mass destruction.

The forum where Zelensky made his comments also had various other topics being discussed. These included sports betting, development strategies for Africa’s sports industry and tips on how to increase confidence in betting skills. Participants also shared recommendations for choosing a successful business partner in Africa’s growing sports betting market.

Cases of large payouts in world gambling attracted attention during these discussions. Through these talks, participants aimed to enhance their understanding of sports betting while achieving positive results.

Zelensky’s criticism towards Brazil and China was met with mixed reactions from attendees at the summit. While some agreed with his sentiments regarding their lack of commitment to ensuring safe transit routes for nuclear materials or ships carrying maritime cargo through Ukrainian waters.

Others argued that Brazil should have signed onto agreements related to nuclear safety while acknowledging its own domestic issues with atomic energy production. Meanwhile, some were more critical towards Zelensky’s remarks on behalf of Russia’s allies such as India or Saudi Arabia who are significant players in global markets but have close ties with Moscow.

Despite these differences in opinions, most participants agreed on one thing: that promoting peace initiatives between countries is crucial especially when tensions are high between nations or regions around the world.
