President Biden Takes a Swipe at Trump’s ‘God Bless the USA Bible’: Quality Criticisms and Controversial Views on Abortion

President Biden has criticized former President Donald Trump for his involvement in the overturning of abortion rights and took a swipe at Trump’s recent attempt to sell a Bible. Biden pointed out that Trump had described the Dobbs decision as a miracle following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. He speculated that Trump’s endorsement may have stemmed from his recent Bible sales, jokingly expressing curiosity about the content of Trump’s Bible.

The Bible that Trump had been promoting is titled “God Bless the USA Bible” and includes the text of the Bible along with the lyrics to Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the USA.” Additionally, it contains the texts of the Pledge of Allegiance, the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence. This Bible has received criticism and complaints about its quality, including issues with sticky pages.

Biden highlighted Trump’s efforts to leverage evangelical voters by promising Supreme Court appointments that would lead to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Trump appointed three conservative justices to the Supreme Court, resulting in a conservative majority that ultimately allowed abortion bans in numerous states. Biden emphasized that Trump took credit for getting rid of Roe v. Wade and advocated for punishing women who sought reproductive freedom.

In response to Trump’s stance on punishing women who have abortions, Biden stated that Trump had initially called for punishment of women but later shifted to suggesting that doctors who perform abortions should be penalized. This controversial position from Trump, along with his role in the abortion restrictions, is a focal point for Democratic campaigns in hopes of winning over voters in states like Florida that Trump had previously won.

Trump’s promotion of this Bible has also come under scrutiny due to its quality concerns and criticism from experts regarding its design flaws such as sticky pages.

Overall, Biden’s comments reflect his disagreement with President Donald
