Pathan believes that Jasprit Bumrah is a must-have in the team.

There may not be any major surprises in the selection, but there are discussions about Hardik Pandya’s fitness to bowl and Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul’s inclusion in the squad.

According to a BCCI selection committee source, it is likely that Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will be selected as wicketkeepers for India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad, along with Shivam Dube. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma are expected to have an informal discussion in Delhi about the final team selection before making an official announcement, which is anticipated to take place on May 1 in Mumbai, in line with ICC’s deadline for squad declarations.
