Recently, a Texas postal worker named Alvin Gauthier made a historic discovery: a collection of undelivered letters from a World War II veteran dating back to 1942. While loading his truck, Gauthier stumbled upon the letters and was struck by their historical significance.
Upon further investigation, Gauthier learned that the letters were written by Marion Lamb, a veteran who served in an infantry unit during World War II. The letters were addressed to “Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamb” in Jacksonville, but beyond that, there was little information to go on.
Determined to reunite the letters with the intended recipients, Gauthier expressed his desire to get them to the right family. He hopes to uncover more information that will lead him to the descendants of the Lamb family.
