On Saturday, June 23, Potter Park in Lansing, Michigan played host to the 3rd annual Family Mental Health Fun Day. Families gathered to enjoy a day of fun activities, relaxation and valuable resources to learn about mental health.

Attendees were able to participate in various activities such as decorating sleep masks and water bottles, listening to music, reading books, and more. Additionally, there were resources available for parents to help them start conversations with their children about mental health.

Jenny Metzmaker, Director of Positive Somebody shared that families were excited to learn about positive coping strategies and techniques for processing emotions. Organizations like Child and Family Charities and Therapy Partners were present at the event to discuss different aspects of positive coping and provide valuable information on mental health.
