Police Arrest Three Minors in Paris for Kidnapping and Rape of 12-Year-Old Girl; Suspects Faced with Charges of Assault, Extortion, and More

French citizens are shocked by the brutal rape of a 12-year-old Jewish girl before elections

Last week, three minors were arrested in Courbevoie, a city near Paris, for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 12-year-old girl they knew from school. The victim was walking with a friend when she got lost and was later held captive for several hours. During her captivity, the perpetrators reportedly made threats against her life and sexually assaulted her multiple times.

The suspects, who are all between the ages of 12 and 13, were identified by the victim’s parents with the help of the police. One of the teenagers has been charged with rape, assault, attempted extortion, death threats, violence, and insults with religious motives involved. The accusation of extortion arises from one of the perpetrators threatening to kill the victim if she went to the police and demanding 200 euros from her.

The third suspect has been accused of witnessing the abuse and assault of the girl without intervening. These heinous acts have caused significant outrage in France, with many calling for schools to address hate messages and actions. Various political figures have expressed concern about combating anti-Semitism and violence against women in French society.

In response to this incident, a meeting was held last week in front of Paris City Hall by various anti-Semitism fighting associations to address these issues head-on.
