Alex Nedeljkovic selected to represent Team USA in IIHF World Championship

Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic has been named to represent Team USA at the 2024 IIHF World Championship, it was announced today. The tournament will take place from May 10-26 in Prague and Ostrava, Czechia. This will be Nedeljkovic’s first time playing for Team USA at the World Championship.

Nedeljkovic, 28, signed with the Pittsburgh team as a free agent on July 1, 2023. During his time with the Penguins, he played in 38 games, with 33 starts. He achieved a record of 18-7-7 with a 2.97 goals-against average, .902 save percentage, and one shutout. In particular, during a ten-game stretch towards the end of the season from March 24 to April 11, he went undefeated with a record of 7-0-3 and impressive statistics of a 2.81 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.

The Preliminary Round Schedule for Team USA has been released and all games will be broadcasted on NHL Network. With his solid performance during the season, Nedeljkovic is determined to make an impact for Team USA at the World Championship.
